After completing an International Relations degree with a minor in Business Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 1988, Mr. Katab pursued a career in the financial industry. After two successful years in the finance industry, he founded an import/export company that he ran successfully for several years. Cliff was then reunited with Performance Team to develop new ventures.
Mr. Katab took on operational management responsibilities which quickly grew to overseeing multiple facilities during the next eight years. In 2000, based on his significant contributions made in operations efficiency while developing significant new business, Mr. Katab was appointed Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.
During the next six years, Mr. Katab was instrumental in securing new business that supported annualized growth of 15% – 20%, while moving Performance Team from $40 million to a $120 million national third party dedicated logistics provider. He then was appointed Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President of Business Development for the next two years where he was instrumental in building an accomplished Sales/Marketing and operations organizations.
Based on his comprehensive operational and business development experience and success, Mr. Katab was appointed President in 2009 while growing the business to $175 million. PT continues to grow under Mr. Katab, and is projected to top $210 million for 2012.
