The USC Center for Global Supply Chain Management Will Hold First Two-Day Conference

The Fourth Annual Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit will highlight challenges and share insight on the profession’s best practices

Los Angeles, CAThe USC Center for Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) will hold its fourth annual Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit on September 15-16, 2016 at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center, on the University Park Campus of the University of Southern California.

With a high-powered lineup of panel discussions and guest speakers including Paul Brody, the Americas Strategy Leader at Ernst & Young, this two-day event is set to attract C-suite executives from Fortune 500 companies globally.

Thought leaders from academia and industry will assemble to explore issues within sectors such as retail and consumer packaged goods and pressing topics including supply chain risk, port solutions and digital transformation. Concise, engaging speaker presentations, executive seminars and breakout sessions will afford expanded opportunities for Q&A sessions and dialogue between presenters and participants.

Call for Nominations

The Center is also accepting award nominations in three distinct categories: lean excellence, logistics, and women’s excellence in supply chain. Award winners will be announced during the conference.

The Value Proposition

Since 2012, this sell-out event has facilitated thought-provoking conversations and unparalleled networking opportunities between top executives across a spectrum of industries and the global supply chain community. The goal of the summit is to empower business leaders to create transformation within their respective organizations, fields and individual careers.

Expanding on that mission, immediately following this year’s conference, in the same venue, the Center for GSCM will host Industry Network Connect (INC), a networking mixer that will provide companies and attendees at the Summit the chance to interact with global supply chain graduate students. INC will provide a unique space for employers to connect with prospective hires in a more relaxed and engaging setting.

USC’s objective is to curate a one-of-a-kind networking and learning experience for everyone in attendance.

“As our audience grows, the level of conversation and value increases tenfold,” says Nick Vyas, director of the Center for Global Supply Chain Management. “We are continuously aiming to push the summit to new heights each year, and I know this year will be no exception.”
